Two children were killed in an 18-wheeler rollover early Sunday morning, according to Sulphur Springs police.

At approximately 5 a.m. Sunday, SSPD were notified to a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 30 eastbound at the 124 mile marker exit, according to police.

The accident involved an 18-wheeler which rear-ended an SUV, causing the 18-wheeler to rollover and the SUV to catch fire, police said.

Two fatalities resulted from this crash: a 7-year-old boy and a 9-year-old boy, who were passengers of the SUV, police said.
