Mitchell Chapel Church of God in Christ will host a plate lunch at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 13 until the food is all gone. There will be prayer and a Bible band. Lunch includes chicken fried steak with green beans, mashed potatoes, bread, dessert and a drink and costs $8 per plate by donation. There is dine-in, carry-out or delivery available, but there is a two-plate minimum per location on deliveries. The church is at 402 South Jackson St. in Sulphur Springs.
