The Wildcats took the lead in the top of the first inning when Kaden Mitchell scored a run, giving them a 1-0 lead. The Panthers responded with a trio of runs in the bottom of the first inning, pulling ahead 3-1.

The Panthers would then score six more runs in the second inning, increasing their lead to 9-1. In the third inning, the Wildcats got on the board again when Braxton Wall scored a run, trimming the score to 9-2.

The Wildcats chipped into the lead again in the top of the fourth inning when Kody Barclay scored a run, bringing the score to 9-3. The Panthers would then score five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, extending their lead to 14-3.

After the Wildcats were held scoreless in the top of the fifth inning, the game ended, as the Panthers handed the Wildcats a 14-3 loss.

As a team, the Wildcats batted just 4 for 18 (.222) from the plate. Corbin Argenbright led with two hits, while Alex Macias and Josh Perkins added one hit each. Barclay, Mitchell, and Wall all scored one run each.

Alex Whittle took the loss on the mound. Across three innings, he surrendered nine runs (five earned), six hits, and three walks, tallying six strikeouts.

Wall then pitched 2/3 of an inning in relief, allowing five earned runs, five walks, and one hit, notching two strikeouts. Ty Holt pitched the last 1/3 of an inning, surrendering a hit.
