Returning Hornets hope to improve off playoff appearances

Robertson is very strong with the ball in his hands, constantly setting up opportunities for both himself and his teammates to score.

  • Isaiah Billingsley works on his outside shot Tuesday. Billingsley was one of the leading scorers for the Hornets in sophomore season and is set to have an even bigger junior year. Billingsley was first team all-district selection a season ago.

  • Lauren Bullard gets in some shots from behind the 3-point line Tuesday. Bullard is returning for her senior season as one of the leaders on the Lady Hornets roster. The Lady Hornets earned a playoff bid last year and will be returning all of their starters from a season ago.

Kobe Roberson and Isaiah Billingsley both played huge roles in the Hornets season, helping lead them to a playoff appearance. Both Robertson and Billingsley were named academic all-district as well. The Hornets finished third place in District 23-A last season and made it to the Bi-District round of the playoffs where the lost to the Avery Bulldogs. Miller Grove didn’t have a single senior on the roster a year ago and will be returning all of its talent.
