BIRTHRIGHT — The North Hopkins Panthers won their fifth consecutive game Tuesday by taking down the Como-Pickton Eagles 4-2 at home. After surrendering two runs early on, the Panthers responded with four unanswered runs, taking home the win.

The first inning saw the Eagles take the lead right away with a pair of runs, taking an early 2-0 lead. This was followed by a scoreless second inning.

The Panthers would get on the board in the third inning when Hudson Mc-Farlin scored a run, trimming the score to 2-1. In the fourth inning, the Panthers pulled ahead when Kasen Gammil and Isai Franco scored runs, giving the Panthers a 3-2 lead.

In the fifth inning, the Panthers added onto their lead when Rhett Vaughn scored a run, bringing the score to 4-2. A scoreless sixth inning followed.

After the Eagles were held scoreless in the top of the seventh inning, the game came to an end, as the Panthers capped off a 4-2 comeback win.

As a team, the Panthers batted 4 for 24 (.167) from the plate. Franco, McFarlin, Junior Reyes, and Franky Valdez all recorded one hit each. Franco, Gammil, McFarlin, and Vaughn all scored one run each.

Kameron Jenkins earned the win on the mound. In six innings, he tallied 13 strikeouts, allowing only four walks, two earned runs, and one walk. McFarlin pitched the final inning in relief, striking out two batters and allowing just one hit and one walk, earning a save.

With the win, the Panthers improved to 5-2 in district and 15-5 overall. They resumed action Friday, taking on the Eagles again, this time at War Eagle Field in Como.
