Bryant records double-double
BIRTHRIGHT — The North Hopkins Lady Panthers got off to a terrific start to their season Tuesday with a 46-16 win over the Yantis Lady Owls at W.S. Long Gymnasium. The Lady Panthers would control the game from start to finish and never let their guard down.
Jaydee Bryant would lead the charge with a 20-point, 12-rebound double- double, also adding two blocks. Coming in second in points was Mariana Aguilar with eight, also adding four assists and two steals.
Sailan Adair was a steady presence with five points, five assists, and three rebounds. Cadence Money would finish with five points and five rebounds.
Lucy Conner was a strong defensive presence with seven rebounds, also adding four points on offense. Sara Attaway also had seven rebounds and rounded out the scoring with two points.
With this win, the Lady Panthers are off to a 1-0 start to the season. Their next game is Friday, when they travel to Saltillo to take on the Saltillo Lady Lions in a Hopkins County battle.
