Improve to 8-0 in district

QUINLAN — The No. 10 North Hopkins Lady Panthers have continued to dominate their competition this season, and the results of their most recent games reflected that. In the last two games, they have come up with two more sweeps, keeping their district record perfect.

For their first game, Oct. 13, the Lady Panthers traveled to Quinlan to face off against the Boles Lady Hornets. The Lady Panthers would cruise their way to a three-set victory in that game.

The first set would set the tone for the game, as the Lady Panthers dominated, while the Lady Hornets struggled. The Lady Panthers easily won the first set 25-10.

The next set would be more of the same, as the Lady Panthers continued to play strong, while the Lady Hornets still struggled. The Lady Panthers would win the second set 25-11, increasing their lead to 25-11.

The third set would see the Lady Panthers put the game away, as the Lady Hornets simply had no answers for them. The Lady Panthers would win the third set 25-15, ending the game and capping off the sweep.

Notable performers include Macey Hoelshcer with 11 kills, Sarah Attaway with seven kills, Hadlee Hrabal and Cadence Money with six kills each, Eden Lewis with four aces, and Harley Vaughn with three aces.

In their next game, Oct. 17, the Lady Panthers traveled to Fruitvale to face off against the Fruitvale Lady Bobcats. Once again, the Lady Panthers would come away with a sweep, knocking off the Lady Bobcats in three sets.

The first set would be a back and forth battle, as each team continuously traded points. Ultimately, the Lady Panthers edged out a 25-23 win in the first set, taking the lead.

The next set would see the Lady Panthers take their game to a new level, as the Lady Bobcats struggled to keep up with them. The Lady Panthers won the second set 25-18, extending their lead to 2-0.

The third set would be controlled by the Lady Panthers once again, as the Lady Bobcats simply had no answers for them. The Lady Panthers would win the third set 25-17, ending the game and completing another sweep.

Notable performers from the game include Hoelscher with eight kills, Hrabal with five kills, Money with four kills, Lewis with three kills, and Conner with three aces.

With these wins, the Lady Panthers are up to 8-0 in district and 28-7 on the season. They resumed action Friday, traveling to Alba to face off against the Alba-Golden Lady Panthers.
