DODD CITY — The Miller Grove Lady Hornets suffered a tough loss to the Dodd City Lady Hornets Friday, falling in four sets. Though Miller Grove won the opening set, Dodd City managed to win three straight sets to steal the game, as Dodd City avenged their loss to Miller Grove earlier in the week.

The first set was a back and forth battle, as each team traded scores. In the end, Miller Grove came out on top, winning the first set 25-23 and taking the lead.

The second set saw Dodd City step up their gameplay, as they tried to keep the game close. Dodd City won the second set 25-15, tying the score at 1-1.

The third set would see Dodd City take their game to a new level, as Miller Grove struggled. Dodd City won the third set 2512, taking a 2-1 lead.

Miller Grove would step up their game in fourth set, as they tried to keep the game going. Unfortunately, their rally fell just short, as Dodd City edged out a 25-23 win in the fourth set, winning the game and handing Miller Grove a loss.

With this loss, the Lady Hornets dropped to 19-14 on the season. They began their district schedule Tuesday, welcoming the Fate PTAA Lady Panthers to Miller Grove High School.
