Lady Eagles do well at Winnsboro meet

Neal earns individual bronze

The Como-Pickton Lady Eagles competed at the Winnsboro Track meet Thursday. They would have five individual and one team place in the top six of their events.

Bailey Neal took top honors, earning third place in both the 1,600 and 3,200-me ter runs. Baylee Bowen also placed in two different events, earning fifth in the pole vault and sixth in the 300-meter hurdles. Yarley Tellez took home sixth in the 100-meter dash.

To round out the results, the 4x400 relay team, consisting of Bowen, Daniella Castro, K’Lara Skidmore, and Katie Tifft earned fifth place.

Their next track meet is Thursday, March 24, when they compete an invitational track meet hosted by Como-Pickton High School.
