COMO — The Como-Pickton Lady Eagles continued their winning ways this season with a home sweep against the Alba-Golden Lady Panthers. Over the course of the game, the Lady Eagles would play hard and tough and never let their guard down, leading to the win.

The first set would be a competitive one, with both teams playing at a high level. The Lady Eagles would win the first set 25-17, taking the early lead.

The following set saw the Lady Eagles take their game to a new level, as the Lady Panthers struggled. The Lady Eagles would cruise their way to a 25-9 win in the second set, increasing their lead to 2-0.

The third set would be another competitive one, with both teams playing hard and tough. In the end, the Lady Eagles came out on top, winning the third set 25-22 and capping off the sweep.

Bella Romero would finish with 24 assists, seven digs, five kills, three aces. Maggie Brown led the way in digs with 17, adding two assists and one kill.

Addi Monk would record a 13-kill, 13-dig double- double, also coming up with two assists and one ace. Rhayne Thomas also had double-digit kills with 10, also recording two digs.

Sanay Diaz finished with five aces, one dig, and one assist. Paisley Watkins would come away with four digs, two assists, and one ace.

Maud Poortvliet recorded four digs and three kills. Sadie Wetzel tallied four kills and two digs. Saylor Smith came away with two kills, one ace, and one assist.

With the win, the Lady Eagles improved to 6-1 in district and 24-11 overall. They resumed action Tuesday, welcoming the Boles Lady Hornets to Como-Pickton High School.
