LONE OAK — The Sulphur Bluff Lady Bears got back to work this past weekend by partaking in the Lone Oak and Wolfe City Tournament. During that time, the Lady Bears struggled, losing three of four games. Despite this, they did earn their first win of the season as well.

In their first game, the Lady Bears played the Maud Lady Cardinals. The Lady Bears were dealt a 13-5 loss in that game.

For their second game, the Lady Bears played the Ector Lady Eagles. The Lady Bears were defeated once again in this game, falling 13-4.

In their third game, the Lady Bears took on the Wolfe City Lady Wolves. The Lady Bears picked up their first win of the season in that game, edging out a 6-5 victory. For their last game, the Lady Bears played Maud once again. Unfortunately, history repeated itself, as Maud won again, this time 14-3.

With these results, the Lady Bears are now 1-8 on the season. Their next game is March 11, when they welcome the Saltillo Lady Lions to Sulphur Bluff High School for a District 17-1A showdown.
