Demonia signs with Arkadia Traiskirchen

TRAISKIRCHEN, Austria — Texas A&M University-Commerce men's basketball great Demarcus Demonia has signed on to play professionally for the Arkadia Traiskirchen Lions of the Austrian Basketball Superliga.

Demonia, a Fort Washington, Maryland, native was a three-time all-conference honoree for the Lions, including earning 2022-23 Southland Conference second team all-conference honors. He totaled 1,002 points, 414 rebounds, and 69 steals in his three-year career.

He ended his Lion career ranked sixth all time in games started (71), eighth in defensive rebounds (289), and ninth in minutes played (2,202).

Demonia joins fellow former Lion, J.J. Romer Rosario, who also signed his first professional contract this summer.

The Traiskirchen Lions won nine games in 2022-23 and expected to begin the 202324 season in October. More information on the Lions can be found at https://www.traiskirchen- lions.at/
