Mary T. Anderwald passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, in Sulphur Springs, TX, at the age of 85. Mary was born on November 11, 1937, to Uyless and Lorene Tarrant. She moved to Dallas, TX, when she was 18 years old. She was a longterm employee for Chubb Insurance. With Chubb, she became well-traveled as she supervised several states. She married Andy Anderwald on January 24, 1970. He preceded her in death on January 15, 1992. Upon retirement, she did volunteer work at her church, Prestonwood Baptist Church. This led her to find employment with BridgeBuilders. In 2019, she moved to Sulphur Springs to be near family and became a member of First Baptist Church. She was passionate in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.
She is also preceded in death by her parents, Uyless and Lorene Tarrant.
She is survived in death by her siblings, Sharlyn Vaughn, Rita Denton and her husband Jerry, Ray Tarrant and his wife Nancy, Jimmy Tarrant and his wife Darlene, and Barbara Atherton and her husband Don. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Her going home service will be held at Restland in Dallas, TX, on Monday, at 10 a.m.
