Janice Ann Crist of Como, Texas was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on Friday, May 31, 2019.
Janice was born in Raynes, Louisiana on June 21, 1955 to Robert and Ann Messer.
Janice is remembered by her mother, Ann Graham Messer; brother, Robert Messer and wife Mary of Terrell; her children, John Crist, Joseph Crist and wife Jennifer of Como, Wade Crist and wife Sarah of Sulphur Springs, and Jennifer Diane Crist of Amarillo; and four grandchildren, John, Colton, Jaeden Collins and Jacob Crist, all of Como. Janice also is remembered by her niece, Anne Messer of Terrell, and nephew, Billy Bob Messer and wife Amanda of Carrollton, Texas, as well as three great-nieces and two-great nephews, numerous cousins and extended family and friends.
Janice was preceded in death by her father, Robert (Bob) Messer, and grandparents.
Janice was first and foremost a loving, caring mother. She graduated from nursing school in 1977 and dedicated her life to serving others. She loved to play the piano and enjoyed singing gospel music in both her church and local gospel groups. Janice was a kind, loving soul who gave to others selflessly, encouraging all she met to seek the Lord and praise His name. Our loss is now Heaven’s gain. Until we meet again.
