Teen writing contest winners to be announced at reception

Northeast Texas Writers Organization (NETWO) and Franklin County Arts Alliance have joined forces to present a special teen showing at Middle Earth Gallery on Thursday, Dec. 12.

A meet-and-greet will kick off the event at 6 p.m. It will be followed by teen artist Morgan Mayes’s “Speed Painting” session.

Later, 13-year-old author Jolene Reed will speak on “How I Wrote Four Books.”

The program will conclude with the announcement of NETWO teen writing contest winners.

Everyone is invited to attend, and there is no cost or fee. Attendees are asked to enter at Main Street Gallery in Mount Vernon and follow the signs.
