SSISD school board receives November COVID-19 update

Sulphur Springs ISD school board held their monthly meeting Monday, which included an updated COVID-19 snapshot for the district.

The snapshot shows 71 cumulative cases among students throughout all SSISD campuses, with seven current positive cases reported as of Nov. 9. The report also shows 205 non-positive students in quarantine.

Reported among staff members were 55 cumulative cases, with 11 current cases; 18 staff members were reported to be in non-positive quarantine.

The November report differs from last month’s; in October, there were 46 cumulative cases among students (a 54.35% change), three current cases (a 133.33% change) and 206 students in non-positive quarantine (a -.49% change). Also reported in October’s snapshot were 32 cumulative cases among staff (a 71.88% change), 10 current cases (a 10% change), and 16 staff members were in non-positive quarantine (a 12.5% change).
