PARIS—Work planned in Hopkins County for next week was announced today by the Paris District of the Texas Department of Transportation. These schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment failure or other unforeseen issues.

In Hopkins County, work will be:

  • Along Interstate 30 from State Highway 154 to the Franklin County line, as crews perform surfacing operations and from the Titus County line to the Hunt County line, as crews upgrade a metal beam guard fence.
  • On State Highway 11 from FM 2297 to SH 154, crews will perform surfacing operations, and from State Highway 19 to White Oak Creek, crews will replace an existing drainage structure. Temporary traffic signals will direct traffic for the latter. From 1.5 miles east of FM 3134 to 0.82 miles east of FM 2653, also on SH 11, crews will perform milling operations.
  • On FM 900 from I-30 to the Franklin County line, crews will install drainage structures.

Watch for lane closures and short traffic delays in any of these areas.

Motorists are advised to remain alert and pay special attention to all signs, barricades and traffic controls, and reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
