Pet of the Week - March 25, 2020

Red arrived at the Sulphur Springs Animal Shelter light heartworm positive. His treatment was donated, and he has just completed the series of medication. Hopefully, in 6 months, he will read negative. Red, like all our pets, need to remain on heartworm preventative once they are adopted. Red was adopted but, by no fault of his, was returned. Red is an amazing guy, great with other dogs and would be awesome with kids, but he doesn’t want to share his home with a cat. Red is a about a year old and is a husky/shepherd mix with a beautiful blue eye. Adoptions are currently limited at the shelter since off-site adoption events have been cancelled temporarily.
