PARIS — The Texas Department of Transportation, Paris District, of which Hopkins County is a part, announced road work and repairs for this week for the county.
These schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment failure or other unforeseen issues, TxDOT said. Motorists may encounter lane closures and short traffic delays around the following:

On State Highway 11 from State Highway 10 to White Oak Creek, work continues on the old portion of the highway, while traffic is directed to the new section. The old section is currently being repaird. Also, from 1.5 miles east of FM 3134 to 0.82 miles east of FM 2653, crews will perform striping operations.

Through Hopkins and Franklin counties from the Titus County line to the Hunt County line, Interstate 30 repairs will include the updgrade of metal beam guard fencing.
Motorists are advised to remain alert and pay special attention to all signs, barricades and traffic controls, and reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
