Market open
Celebration Market will be open on the downtown Sulphur Springs Square on Saturday, May 27 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. with food and music.
Cruise scheduled A Memorial Day Cruise sponsored by Freedom Flyers is scheduled for Sunday, May 28 at 4pm in Buford Park.
Baseball action A TPS Qualifier Baseball tournament for 11U and 12U will be held May 27-28 in Coleman Park, 679 Gossett Lane. Play begins at 9 a.m.
Carry the Load
A Carry the Load Walk will cross Hopkins County on Saturday, May 27. If you would like to join the local 3-mile walk portion, be there at 5 a.m. at the Hopkins County EMS Central Station, 116 Airport Road.
Wine tasting event A Texas Wine Tasting in the Garden is planned at Cravers Community Garden, 420 Park Street on Saturday, May 27 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. The fundraiser is a ticketed event, go to CraversTX.com. All proceeds go toward the purchase of a new produce cooler for the Fruitful Harvest Food Pantry.
Marine Corps League ceremony
The Hopkins County Marine Corps League will hold a Remembrance Ceremony on Celebration Plaza at 11 a.m. Monday, May 29, Memorial Day.
The public is invited to observe the holiday with an address, the raising and lowering of flags, and the playing of Taps.
