Hopkins County Commissioners considered four plats during the regular court meeting Monday, but approved only three.

Arbala Addition

The Commissioners on April 22 gave approval to a final amended plat for Arbala Addition. Last year, two lots were approved for this project. This year, the court was presented with a proposed change to the plat, which would turn the property along County Road 1195 into 14 total lots known as Arbala Addition. Steve Hudson told the court the proposal did meet county standard for subdivisions.

North Addition

A final plat for North Addition, located north of town on County Rod 4761. This extends 15 lots to 21. The county approved the preliminary plat as recommended two weeks ago. Hudson noted all requirements were complete and all subdivision requirements are met in the plat as presented April 22. Precinct 2 Commissioner Greg Anglin said he had previously spoken with Precinct 4 Commissioner Joe Price, who was on vacation Monday, who indicated he was in favor of the final plat; the court then voted 4-0-1 approving the final plat.

Spring Ranch Subdivision

A final plat was presented to the commissioners for approval Monday. Spring Ranch Subdivision, located in Precinct 4, did require some corrections from first proposal. Hudson said he did not receive copies of the final proposal until Sunday. He said he had only viewed it that morning, but appeared on first scan to have corrections as made. With those changes, the plat would meet the requirements for a final subdivision plat. This addition is located along County Road 4771, and consist of nine total lots. Four would be small lots over 1-acre each, and the rest are sized at just over 3 and 4 acres each.

Orr Acres

missioners Court too was asked Monday to consider approving a re-plat of Lot 5, known as Orr Acres. Hudson noted he had not received documentation with specifics for a final plat. County officials had questions about current and proposed structures on the properties, and whether certain improvements had been made per stipulations. The court tabled the request pending investigation and receipt of urther information.
