The City Cemetery Society met Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at 10 a.m. in the Myra Wilson Chapel on cemetery grounds.
Members present included Jim and Annada Jones, Steve Longino, Jimmy Lloyd, Helen Starrett, Cathay Bonner, Doris Dobson, Ruthmary Hall, Amy McGrady and Debbie Barrett.
The members welcomed Dickey Daniel and Carolyn Rawson to the meeting.
Minutes from the June 13 meeting were read by Debbie Barrett, secretary.
They were approved as read by Amy McGrady and Ruthmary Hall.
Jim Jones gave the treasurer’s report and it was filed for audit.
The memorial report showed memorials given to the cemetery in honor of Tommy Rawson by Tommy and Patsy Davis and Michael Ray Moore by Angie Moore.
Old and new business was discussed.
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 10 in the Myra Wilson Chapel.
New members are always welcomed.
Anyone interested in preserving the history and heritage of the cemetery is encouraged to attend the meeting.
