The Sulphur Springs Lions Club will present its 17th Annual Christmas Light Parade on Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. In the event of bad weather, the alternate date will be Saturday, Dec. 2.

Parade entry registration must be received by 12 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28. To complete the form, go online to http://bit.ly/LionsChristmasParade2023.

Categories include large business, small business and nonprofit organizations/ churches.

The Sulphur Springs Lions Club reminds entrants that all entries must be motorized or able to maintain parade speed, decorated in working Christmas lights and not to exceed 13 feet, six inches in height. There will be no exceptions.

Horses are allowed, but they must be lighted.

No candy or other items are to be thrown from vehicles or the parade entry, or handed out during the parade.

Entries may not include a live Santa or Mrs. Claus. Any entry that does not comply will be asked to withdraw.

The Lions Club reserves the right to make the final determination on parade entry eligibility and/or category.

The parade will begin at Buford Park and go east on Connally Street to the square, then turn left onto Church Street and left at Houston Street, ending at the Gerald Prim Stadium parking lot.

Line-up will begin at 4 p.m. at Buford Park. All entries must be in the parade line-up by 6:15 p.m. for judging. Cash prizes will be awarded.
