The following reports are based on arrests conducted with reports filed by Sulphur Springs and Hopkins County law enforcement from 5:30 a.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Monday and included:
Alcohol-related arrests
■ A 40-year-old Sulphur Springs man was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated Dec. 24 at 7:52 p.m. after being involved in a motor vehicle accident. No bond was set.
■ A 33-year-old Laredo man was arrested Dec. 24 at 9:46 a.m. on charges of driving while intoxicated (second offense). No bond was set.
■ A 42-year-old Sulphur Springs man was arrested Dec. 26 at 2:19 p.m. on charges of driving while intoxicated (second offense). No bond was set.
Drug-related arrests
None were reported.
Warrants, transfers and other activity
■ Michael Copeland, 40, of Cooper, was arrested Dec. 23 at 7:33 p.m. for charges of fraudulent use or possession of credit card or debit card information, mail theft and burglary of habitation. No bond was set.
■ A 45-year-old Sulphur Springs woman was arrested Dec. 24 at 8:18 p.m. on charges of assault causes bodily injury to a family/household member. No bond was set.
Hopkins County communications operators answered 488 non-emergency phone calls, 140 emergency calls and 194 calls for service. As of 5:30 a.m. Monday, the county jail held 161 inmates. Arrest reports through 5:30 a.m. Tuesday were not available by press time.
