Thursday, Aug. 17
As of 6 a.m. Friday, Hopkins County Communications answered 240 non-emergency calls and 50 911 calls. Deputies answered 48 calls for service, transported one inmate and conducted eight traffic stops and two funeral escorts. The Hopkins County jail held a total of 186 inmates, with four booked in and nine released.
Romance Julius Murphy, age 24, of Richardson was arrested at the Dallas County jail and transported to the Hopkins County jail on a warrant for possession of less than 1 gram of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance.
Jaiydan Gage Hawkins-Davis, 20, of Sulphur Springs was arrested during a traffic stop on County Road 1116 east north of County Road 1174 at 4:15 p.m. on a Rockwall County warrant for a probation violation on a charge of theft of property $100-$750.
Christopher Henson Lee, 36, of Dallas was transported from the Rains County jail to the Hopkins County jail at 4:41 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for theft of property $100$750.
Quentin Marcel White, 24, of Emory was transported from the Rains County jail to the Hopkins County jail at 4:42 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for possession of less than 1 gram of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance.
Friday, Aug. 18
As of 6 a.m. Saturday, Hopkins County Communications answered 214 non-emergency calls and 63 911 calls. Deputies answered 55 calls for service, transported three inmates, conducted 17 traffic stops and filed two offenses. The Hopkins County jail held a total of 193 inmates, with nine booked in and two released.
Kenshun Danjer James-Jackson, 30, of Greenville was arrested at the Hopkins County Adult Probation Office at 9:57 a.m. Friday for a probation violation on a charge of unlawfully carrying a weapon.
Amira Aisha Webster, 39, of Texarkana was arrested at the Bowie County jail for violation of probation warrants on one charge each of felony possession of 28-200 grams of a Penalty Group 3 controlled substance and felony possession of more than 400 grams of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance. She was transported and booked into the Hopkins County jail without incident.
Zavier Ahmad Rollerson, a 21-year-old homeless man, was arrested at the Lamar County jail for violating probation on a felony aggravated robbery charge. He was transported and booked into the Hopkins County jail without incident.
Atanacio Sotelo-Escobar, 41, of Arlington was arrested during a traffic stop on Interstate 30 at Loop 301 at 4:27 p.m. Friday on charges of illegal window tint and no driver’s license. Lieutenant Wade Sheets received a report of a reckless driver. A brown Chevy S-10 was observed committing multiple traffic violations, including failing to signal a turn, tinted front windshield, speeding and failing to maintain a single lane of traffic. Sheets conducted a traffic stop and found that Sotelo-Escobar did not have a driver’s license.
A 27-year-old Brashear man was arrested for public intoxication after being found walking down County Road 1170 at 9:48 p.m. Friday. Deputies observed the man to be under the influence of narcotics and determined he was a danger to himself and others.

Saturday, Aug. 19
As of 6 a.m. Sunday, Hopkins County Communications answered 214 non-emergency calls and 63 911 calls. Deputies answered 55 calls for service, transported three inmates, conducted 17 traffic stops and filed two offenses. The Hopkins County jail held a total of 193 inmates, with nine booked in and two released.
A 37-year old Sulphur Springs man was arrested during a traffic stop on Clayton Road and eastbound Jefferson Street at 11:33 a.m. Saturday on SSPD warrants for expired registration and failure to maintain financial responsibility.
Brian James Lacy, 42, of Cooper was arrested at 4:50 p.m. at the Delta County Sheriff ’s Office and transported to the Hopkins County jail. Lacy was captured at a location on FM 1532 at the border of Delta and Fannin Counties.
Ty Norman Warner, 30, of Commerce was arrested during a traffic stop at FM 499 at County Road 4729 on a Hopkins County warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was stopped for a high center- mounted brake lamp.
Sunday, Aug. 20
As of 6 a.m. Monday, Hopkins County Communications answered 175 non-emergency calls and 59 911 calls. Deputies answered 34 calls for service and conducted one traffic stop. The Hopkins County jail held a total of 192 inmates, with two booked in and three released.
Shaina Cheyanne Fields, 34, of Sulphur Springs was arrested at a residence on FM 2297 at 4:09 p.m. Sunday. Deputies Zach Steward and Michael Chang were on patrol when they were advised that a wanted subject was at the residence. They made contact with the homeowner, who gave consent to search the residence and advised that Fields was hiding in a back room. The homeowner gave consent for deputies to breach the door and Fields was located in the closet. She was arrested for violating probation on a Texas Department of Criminal Justice warrant for possession of a dangerous drug.
