Friday, June 16

„ Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol Trooper Cody Sagnibene reported a registration check on the Mitsubishi Lancer stopped at the red light in front of him on Interstate 30 near the South Broadway Street exit showed the car's registration expired in February of 2022. He detained the driver, a Como man who said it was expired because he'd been in prison for throwing a marijuana pipe out in front of an officer. When the highway patrol asked Heston Oneal Perry if he had marijuana in the car, the 40-year-old man retrieved a baggy from the console with a substance identified as marijuana in it. Perry was arrested at 7:58 p.m. Friday on a possession of less than 2 ounces of marijuana charge, according to arrest reports.

„ Police Officer Steven Lail responded to an active disturbance at 8:56 p.m. June 16 on North Davis. Christina Ann Webb and her husband were reportedly involved in a verbal altercation when they arrived. The pair was separated. After investigation, officers determined the 41-yearold Sulphur Springs woman had physically assaulted her spouse by striking and kicking him several times, causing bodily injury. Webb was charged with a Class A misdemeanor family violence assault charge, accordign to arres t reports.

„ Burglary of a vehicle was reported to have occurred on County Road 2460 in Pickton June 14.

„ Deputy Philip Ryan took James Barry Norton Jr. in to custody at 10:35 a.m. at Hutchins Unit in Dallas. The 31-year-old Dallas man was transported to the county jail, where he was booked in at 1:18 p.m. on warrants on a driving while license invalid charge and a violation of probation on a possession of less than 1 gram of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance charge. Bond on the probation charge totaled $150,000. The fee on the driver's license charge totaled $526.50, the deputy noted in arrest reports.

„ DPS Trooper Cody Sagnibene stopped Damian Marquin Vionta Harrison at 11:45 p.m. on Interstate 30 near mile marker 121 for driving 82 miles per hour in a 75 mph speed zone. He was unable to provide proof of insurance and a records check showed the 29-yearold San Antonio man's licnese to be suspended. A records check showed Harrison to be wanted in Travis County for not taking care of a driving while license invalid charge. Harrison was jailed on a new driving while license invalid with a previous suspension and without financial responsibility charge as well as on the Travis County warrant.

„ Deputies Josh Davis and Thomas Patterson located Nicole Rae Pritchard on East Industrial Drive at 10:55 p.m. and took the 42-year-old Salitllo woman into custody on warrants for possession of 1 gram or more than 4 grams of a Penalty Group 1/1-B controlled substance and possession of 4 grams or more but less than 200 grams of a Penalty Group 1/1-B controlled substance with intent to deliver. Bond was recommended to be set at $750,000 per charge, according to arrest reports.

„ Deputies Isaac Foley and Colt Patterson stopped Dustin Cody McCord at 10:25 p.m. on Helm Lane for expired registration and no driver's license. A records check confirmed a warrant for the 39-yearold Sulphur Springs man's arrest. While talking to the deputy, McCord admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle. A search revealed not only a bag of weed, but also a bag of suspected methamphetamine and a glass pipe of the type used to smoke illegal substances such as meth. The latter bag weighed 0.4 grams and the substance inside of it tested positive for methamphetamine. Mc-Cord was taken into custody not only on a failure to maintain financial responsiblity warrant, but was also charged with possession of less than 1 gram of a Penalty Group 1/1-B controlled substance. The fee owed on the warrant was $403, the deputies noted in arrest reports.

Saturday, June 17

„ Sulphur Springs Police Officers Steven Lail and Thad Cook responded to an active disturbance at 11:48 p.m. June 17 to an active disturbance on Main Street. Upon arrival, officers said there were visible signs a physical altercation had taken place. William Albert Holcomb Jr. was accused of choking his girlfriend during the physical altercation. A records check showed the 40-year-old Mount Vernon man to have an active warrant for his arrest. Holcomb was placed into handcuffs and arrested on a family violence assault impeding breathing charge as well as a failure to appear on a theft of property valued at $750 or more but less than $2,500.

„ Timothy Ray Johnson of Richland Hills was arrested at 2:37 p.m. on Interstate 30 east at mile marker 111 on a Richland Hills warrant for accident involding damage to a vehicle greater than or equal to $200. Cumby Police Officer K. Hackney stopped the 60-year-old man for driving 80 in a 75 mph speed zone and traveling in the left lane and not passing. A records check revealed the warrant. He was jailed on the warrant and issued a warning citation for the traffic infraction, according to arrest reports.

Sunday, June 18

„ Class C misdemeanor assault of a 49-year-old woman was reported on East Industrial Drive June 18.

„ Deputies responded to an assault on State Highway 11 west. Upon arrival, they were told 33-yearold David Glynne Noble of Pickton had physically assaulted his father. The alleged victim was reported to be uncooperative with deputies. The suspect reportedly passed by his parents' address with the hazard lights on his vehicle and honked as he drove by. Deputy Justin Wilkerson located Noble on County Road 4711. When instructed to put his hands behind his back, he allegedly refused and was assisted to the ground. He was transported to jail, where he is accused of threatening to return to the residence to harm his family, refused to comply with the officials' directives and was placed into a specially equipped cell, designed to prevent him from harming himself or others. An emergency protective order was requested, according to arrest reports.

Monday, June 19

„ Kerry Don Yates was stopped at 10:41 p.m. on Veterans Drive by Police for a traffic violation. He is accused of intentionallly giving SSPD Officer Cameron Robinson and Cpl. Silas Whaley a false name, address and date of birth. He was arrested for failure to identify.

„ Sheriff's Deputy M. Reynold transported Lee Archie McNeil, a 54-yearold Monroe, La., man from Ouachita Parish to Hopkins County jail, where he was booked on warrants for bail jumping and failure to appear and bond forfeiure on fraudulent use or possession of identifying information charges.

„ Sulphur Springs Police Sgt. Brandon Mayes took Joseph Hodges, a 70-year-old Sulphur Springs man into custody at 10:39 a.m. at his residence on a violation of parole warrant. He was booked into Hopkins County jail at 11:27 a.m. on the outstanding charge, according to arrest reports.
