A benefit concert headlined by Neal McCoy will be held 7 p.m. Friday at the Sulphur Springs High School Auditorium to raise funds for The Wall That Heals, a mobile Vietnam memorial coming to the city in November.

McCoy is a well-known country singer with back-to-back No. 1 singles in 1993 as well as three platinum albums and one gold in the same decade. He has also done 17 United Service Organizations tours around the world, and according to his website, McCoy “continues to say it’s one of the achievements he’s most proud of.”

The concert will be opened by Jason Waldon & the Alibis, a more local band whose drummer and bandleader is from Hopkins County.

Tickets are $40-75 and will be on a first-come, first-served basis in each section. Tickets are tax deductible. Tickets can be purchased through www.outhousetickets.com/Event/17996-Neal_McCoy_Benefit_for_The_Wall_That_Heals.
