The North Hopkins Cemetery regular Memorial Day services and lunch will not be held this year due to social distancing. Those interested are encouraged to visit the cemetery and place flowers on loved ones’ graves. Member of the board of directors will be available 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, May 24 at the cemetery pavilion to hand out minutes of the meeting and the financial report, along with the names of loved ones who were buried the past year.
Donations to help with the cost of maintenance of the cemetery and chapel are encouraged. The board members will clean the cemetery Saturday, May 23, and Ed Oetting will place flags on all the veterans’ graves.
