Even though summer is halfway done, there’s still a whole world of summer fun according to the Sulphur Springs city calendar. There is one remaining family movie night in July featuring How to Train Your Dragon: Hidden World on July 26. Family movie nights in August are A League of Their Own on August 2, Coco on Aug. 9, Inside Out on Aug. 16 and Captain Marvel on Aug. 23. Steve Everett is playing Saturday, Aug. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at Heritage Park to benefit Texafied JamFest. Tickets are $30 pre-order and $40 at the door. Muddy Jake’s is hosting a back-to-school cornhole tournament on Aug. 10 to help donate backpacks to local families in need. Registration is $30 to pre-register plus one backpack or $40 at the door.
