The 20th Annual John Chester Dutch Oven Cooking Class was held on April 20 in the Hopkins County Museum and Heritage Park. The late John Chester of Dike taught Rick Wilson the art and now, Wilson holds this event annually. Over the years, Wilson has instructed a few hundred people on how to continue the pioneer skill. Because of rain, the class of fifteen students was taught indoors in the Winniford Building starting with the preparation work, while the coals were being prepared outside under a covered building.
