Funeral services for Elizabeth Ann Gideon, age 89, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2024, at Murray Orwosky Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs, Texas, with Rev. Ed Lantz officiating. Interment followed at Restlawn Memorial Park with Dustin Gideon, Gage Gideon, Brandon Comer, Tanner Cordova, Lee Clarac and Dalton Irby serving as pallbearers. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Murray Orwosky Funeral Home. Mrs. Gideon was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, April 15, 2024, surrounded by family.

A funeral service for Sue Norris West, age 85, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2024, at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jeff Tiemeyer officiating. Her grandsons will be serving as pallbearers. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Shooks Chapel Cemetery.

Teresa Faye Hooten Carpenter, 72, of California, a native of Sulphur Springs, passed away Thursday night, April 18, 2024, at her son's residence in Bakersville, California. Arrangements are pending with Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

A graveside service for Grant Bailey, 45, of Sulphur Springs will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 15, at Reilly Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Jud White, Ty McKeever, Jonathan Farris, Kaleb Wallace, Austin Duncan, and Kerry Bailey, with Gage Bailey and Kaden Bailey serving as honorary pallbearers.

Emily Wroten, 78, of Fort Worth, passed away at Colonial Lodge Tender Care in Greenville, Texas, on Thursday, April 11, 2024. A family-led Memorial service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Fort Worth, at a later date.

A family and friend led memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Ignite Ministries (formerly New Life Baptist Church), 628 FM 1528, Cooper, TX 75432. Visitation will be held one hour prior, from 1-2 p.m.

Funeral services for David Daniel Rushin, age 91, of Edgewood will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jimmy Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow at Shooks Chapel Cemetery with David Rushin, Joseph Winchester, Matthew Winchester, Scott Winchester, Joe Cagle and BJ Anderson serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be at 10 a.m., prior to the service, Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at West Oaks Funeral Home.

Edward Love Ardis was surrounded by friends when he went to be with his Lord on April 6. Eddie was born on Aug. 5, 1947, to Lewis and Thelma Ardis. He graduated from Sulphur Springs High School and then attended East Texas State University, now Texas A & M at Commerce. He earned his BS degree. He worked for a brief time for Texas Instruments in Richardson, Texas. Later he was an equal owner of All World Travel founded in 1971 in Richardson, Texas.
