Juana Maria Torres, 25, and Lucas Mateo Alvarez, 2, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2019, from injuries sustained in a car accident in Whitewright, Texas.
Juana was born to Juan Carlos Torres and Mary Elizondo on July 18, 1994 in Brownwood, Texas. Juana had two boys with Arnulfo Alvarez. Juana gave birth to Lucas Mateo Alvarez on May 15, 2017, in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Lucas lived every minute of his brief time with us to the fullest. His laughing eyes, beautiful curls, hilarious voice and sense of adventure will never be forgotten. Juana loved her boys. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Juana and Lucas are proceeded in death by grandfather Jeronimo Torres and grandmother Mary Elizondo. Juana was expecting her son Aiden Alvarez before the accident.
She is survived by her son, Andres Alvarez, parents, 12 siblings, aunts, uncles and many cousins. Lucas is survived by his father, brother and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2019 at West Oaks Funeral Home. Internment will follow at Mt. Sterling Cemetery.
