Sulphur Springs Football Camp draws crowd

Football has been a popular sport in Sulphur Springs for many years. If the attendance at this year’s Wildcat Football Camp are an indication of what is to come, the future of the program is in good hands.

The annual camp, held May 26-28 in the Multipurpose Building, brought over 100 participants from grades kindergarten through ninth grade.

During the camp, campers learned about various aspects of football, including passing, running, catching, route-running, tackling, recovering fumbles and fielding kickoffs and punts. Each camper was engaged and eager to learn.

The camp was conducted by the Sulphur Springs High School football coaching staff.
