Storytime with Kate Davis is held each Tuesday, 10 - 11 a.m., in the Family Life Center beginning Sept. 8 and 9, Adam Hamilton Small Group Study at 6 p.m. Mondays and 2 p.m. Tuesdays at the church. A Grief Share support group for individuals grieving a loss is offered at 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays beginning Sept. 9 at First United Methodist Church, Sulphur Springs. Wednesday
„ Central Baptist Church offers Kids and Youth activities, and a Ladies Bible Study starting at 6 p.m. on Wednesdays.
„ Dinner Bell — The doors to Fellowship Hall at First United Methodist Church will open at 11 a.m. for fellowship and a free meal for any in need of one. Meal service begins at 11:30 a.m. and doors will close at 12:45 p.m. Dinner Bell will continue every Wednesday except for the Wednesdays before Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. The menu for May 13 includes chicken pot pie, vegetable of the day, garden salad, buttered French bread slice and chocolate cherry cake. The community partner of the week is Money Law and Title, which moved its Sulphur Springs headquarters to the spacious red brick building downtown and Oak Avenue with the purchase of Professional Land & Title. Money Law Firm opened in 2013. A title fee office became a reality in 2016. In 2022, the law and title company transitioned into an independent agency to create Money Law and Title. Offices are in Greenville, Sulphur Springs, Terrell, Emory, Prosper and Sherman to serve the needs of the people of the North and Eastern areas of Texas.

Women’s Bible Study Group Jen Wilkins Study, “God of Creation: A Study of Genesis 1-11,” will be held from 10 to 11:30 p.m. Thursdays beginning Sept. 11.

„ Cumby Food Pantry will be open 8 to 11 a.m. every Friday at 8285 Interstate 30 service road southwest in Cumby for families in Cumby, Hopkins County and surrounding areas who are in need. „ Bibleway Lighthouse Church holds Sunday school at 10 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., and Wednesday evening service at 6 p.m. The church is located north of Sulphur Springs. First Sunday

Third Sunday
„ Church services will be held at 11 a.m. the third Sunday of each month at Old Saltillo United Methodist Church, 664 County Road 3357, with the Rev. David Larkin directing the service. The April 19 service will focus on “What’s in a Walk,” the Walk to Emmaus in Luke 24:13-35. Everyone is invited to gather in the Kirby Memorial Fellowship Hall for a potluck lunch immediately following the service. Bring a favorite covered dish and enjoy food, fellowship and community.
Last Friday
„ Morning Chapel Missionary Baptist Church hosts Soup Day, a monthly feeding ministry, at 11 a.m. the last Friday of each month in the church Fellowship Hall, 208 Fuller St., .for anyone who wants to sit down and enjoy a nutritious meal of Hopkins County chicken stew, cornbread, crackers, and iced tea. The meal is free of charge, however, anyone who wants to leave a donation for Fellowship Hall expenses is welcome to do so. For more information, call 903-885-4978 or stop by the next Soup Day.
