Biweekly Update — Feb. 6

Over the past several weeks, our road crew has been hard at work improving road conditions and preparing for winter weather. Blade patching with cold mix was completed on County Roads 3528, 3532 and 3341 north to repair surface damage and improve overall driving conditions. The crew also bladed rock roads and added material on County Roads 3354, 3534, 3554, 3628, 3524, 3559, 3520, 3518, 3536, and 3538.

In preparation for the winter freeze, the crew ensured all equipment was inspected and ready and remained on call to respond quickly to changing conditions. Routine maintenance and necessary repairs were also completed on dump trucks and tractors to ensure equipment remained safe, reliable, and ready for continued operations.

Lastly, I want to take a moment to recognize our first responders, linemen, Texas Department of Transportaton, city and county crews, and everyone who worked tirelessly to keep the county operational during the challenging weather we experienced. Each person played a vital role, and their dedication, teamwork, and commitment to serving our community did not go unnoticed. I am genuinely grateful for the long hours and hard work that helped keep residents safe and services running. That is what makes Hopkins County so great!
