Saltillo ISD honored its graduating Class of 2026 in a ceremony recognizing their academic achievement.
Leading the class was valedictorian Tobin Keith Potter, who plans to attend Texas A&M University to study animal science. Salutatorian Shelbi Jo Ricketson will attend East Texas A&M University, where she plans to pursue accounting.
The 19-member class distinguished itself academically, with every graduate earning either an A or A-B average. Collectively, the class was awarded more than $236,000 in scholarships.
The ceremony featured speeches from both the valedictorian and salutatorian, along with a special recognition of parents. In a rose ceremony, graduates presented flowers to friends, family members, and supporters who played an important role in their journey.
