The tone of the game would be set early on, as the Lady Eagles dominated from the beginning and never let up, leading to a victory.

PARIS — The North Hopkins Panthers had their season come to a bitter end this weekend after losing their Bi-District series against the Linden-Kildare Tigers. Despite winning the second game to force a third game, the Panthers fell short in the final game, losing the series.

Despite initially taking the lead in the series, the Eagles weren’t able to close it out, as the Cardinals won Games Two and Three to complete a comeback.

Trojans shut out against Ore City, 10-0

The game’s outcome would be decided early on, as the Trojans were outplayed from the start and couldn’t establish any rhythm.

SS boys golf ties for ninth place at State

KINGSLAND — The Sulphur Springs Wildcats golf team capped off another successful season by tying for ninth place at the state golf meet April 29 and 30 at the Legends Golf Course in Kingsland. They would come up with an overall score of 634, tying Bellville for ninth place.

The Sulphur Springs Wildcats suffered a heartbreaking loss in Game One of their Bi-District playoff series against the Lindale Eagles Wednesday night, falling 5-4. Despite leading the majority of the game, the Wildcats couldn’t close the game out, as the Eagles scored five unanswered runs to take the lead in the series.
