Chester selected as next chief

Glynda Chester was approved to become the new police chief for Como-Pickton CISD.

Trustees approved her employment at their April 15 board meeting,.

Chester has been most recdently employed at the Hopkins County Sheriff ’s Office. Prior to that, she served as chief for Sulphur Springs ISD Police Department.

Chester will begin her new position in August for the 2024-2025 school year.
