Officers include President Grant Anderson, returning for a second term; 1st Vice-President Emma Knight; Secretary Berkeley Christian; Treasurer Kaden Mabe; Reporter Brooke Anderson; Sentinel Janie Alberts; and Student Advisor Kendall Fisher.

Tuesday, May 7 „ Officers responded on Georgia Street, where they located a wanted Sulphur Springs man. Robert Blake Moore, 20, was taken into custody at 2:27 p.m. on the assault causing bodily injury to a family member.

Four teen jailed in connection with vehicle burglaries Four teens, one from Como, one from Sulphur Springs and two from Oklahoma, were accused May 12 of engaging in organized criminal activity, specifically burglary of a vehicle. The youths are accused of attempting to gain access to vehicles by pulling on door handles in the area of College Street and Lakeshore Drive early Sunday morning.

Sulphur Springs City Manager Marc Maxwell presented the following report verbally and as a memoradum to Sulphur Springs City Council during the regular monthly meeting on May 7, 2024: CLAIMS We had one minor workers’ compensation claim and no liability claims in April. COMPREHENSIVE PLAN We have applied for a $250,000 grant from the General Land Office to help pay for the plan.

New SSISD trustees sworn in; outgoing trustees recognized
