Workers standby to help Sulphur Springs residents unload items trucked to the city spring clean up site, located 0.25-mile east of Flowserve on Jefferson Street (US Highway 67 east). The Sulphur Springs City Wide Spring Clean Up continues from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 24-29 for Sulphur Springs residents. The City of Cumby will also host a City Clean-Up for residents from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 27-28 and May 3-5, in dumpsters provided by the city water tower. No tires hazardous waste, items containing refrigerant or wet paint will be accepted. Be prepared to provide a driver's license or water bill showing proof of city residency when taking items to the city collection sites. Hopkins County will host clean up days for residents from 7 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 3, and from 7 to noon Saturday, May 4, at the four precinct barns. Used tires may be disposed in the parking lot at Suphur Springs Livestock, 1019 South Broadway St., for a fee payable by cash or check per tire, during the clean up times.
