COMO-PICKTON

After picking up their first district win Tuesday against PTAA, the Lady Eagles will have another pair of district matches next week, both of which will be on the road. They will travel to Yantis Tuesday, where the junior varsity will begin at 5 p.m. with the varsity to follow. On Friday, they’ll travel to Quinlan Boles, where the varsity will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the junior varsity to follow.

CUMBY

The Cumby Lady Trojans are on a tear as of late, opening district play with four consecutive wins to start off 4-0. The varsity team will have just one game next week, a district matchup against Alba-Golden Friday at home. The junior varsity will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the varsity to follow.

MILLER GROVE

The Lady Hornets have gotten off to a decent start in district play, beating Alba-Golden in the district opener and falling just short to the Cumby Lady Trojans, 3-2. The Lady Hornets will have just one district match next week, a game Tuesday at North Hopkins. The junior varsity will begin at 5 p.m. with the varsity to follow. Miller Grove will also have a non-district match on the road against Greenville Christian Friday. The junior varsity will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the varsity to follow.

NORTH HOPKINS

The North Hopkins Lady Panthers have had a strong start in district play, picking up wins against PTAA and Yantis in their first two district matches. The Lady Panthers will have another pair of district games next week against Miller Grove and Fruitvale. The game against Miller Grove will be at home Tuesday with the junior varsity beginning at 5 p.m. with the varsity to follow. Their match against Fruitvale Friday will be on the road, and the varsity will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the junior varsity to follow.

SULPHUR BLUFF

After a bit of a slow start to the season, the Lady Bears hope to bounce back with a pair of district wins next week. Sulphur Bluff will travel to James Bowe Tuesday and will host Detroit Friday. In both games the junior varsity will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the varsity to follow.

SULPHUR SPRINGS

After an extended offseason, the Sulphur Springs Lady Cats season is finally underway. The Lady Cats will host Commerce Tuesday, looking to get their first home win of the season. On Friday, Sulphur Springs will travel to Princeton for a non-district match. In both matches, the freshman team will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the junior varsity and varsity teams to follow.
