Final week of regular season

COMO-PICKTON

The Como-Pickton Eagles have had a strong season this far, tallying a record of 14-8. With a 4-2 district record the Eagles are in line to make a playoff appearance once the regular season has come to an end. Como-Pickton ends their season with a pair of home games this week, starting with a match against Alba-Golden and their senior night game against Boles Friday. In both games the junior varsity is set to begin at 5 p.m. with the varsity to follow.

MILLER GROVE

The Miller Grove Hornets have been on a strong run of late, climbing all the way to No. 21 in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches rankings. The Hornets enter the final week of their season with their senior night game against Campbell Tuesday. That will be varsity only and is set to begin at 6 p.m. Miller Grove turns around Friday and travels to Dodd City for their regular season finale. The junior varsity will begin at 6 p.m. with the varsity to follow.

NORTH HOPKINS

The North Hopkins Panthers have been on a tear, riding a seven-game winning streak, improving their record to 14-6 on the season. With a playoff spot already clinched, the Panthers will be looking to clinch the No. 1 seed heading into the final week of the season. North Hopkins hosts Cooper Tuesday before traveling to Alba-Golden Friday. In both games the junior varsity is set to begin at 5 p.m. with the varsity to follow.

SALTILLO

Riding an eight-game winning streak, the Saltillo Lions will look to continue their success heading into the final week of their regular season. Coming in at No. 13 in this week’s rankings, the Lions host Avery for their final home game Tuesday, before traveling to Sulphur Bluff Friday. In both games the junior varsity is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. with the varsity to follow.

SULPHUR BLUFF

The Sulphur Bluff Bears find themselves in the middle of a very tight playoff race, with four teams all within two games of each other. With a district record of 6-3, the Bears have a strong chance of making the playoffs but need to continue winning games. Entering the final week of their season, Sulphur Bluff travels to Bloomburg Tuesday for a varsity only game at 6 p.m. On Friday the Bears host Saltillo for their senior night with the junior varsity beginning at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity to follow.
