COMO-PICKTON

The Como-Pickton Lady Eagles have their home opener on Tuesday, when they host Paul Pewitt. The junior varsity is set to begin with the varsity to follow. The Lady Eagles enter the season, picked to finish in second place in District 15-2A, behind only Quinlan Boles.

CUMBY

The Cumby Lady Trojans kick their season off next week with a pair of games, including their home opener. On Tuesday, the Lady Trojans will host Rivercrest, and on Friday they travel to Celeste. Each of those games will have the junior varsity beginning at 5 p.m. with the varsity to follow. Cumby enters the season picked to finish third in their district behind Boles and Como-Pickton.

NORTH HOPKINS

The Lady Panthers have a pair of road games next week, including a trip to Yantis on Tuesday and a trip to Commerce on Friday. The Yantis game is varsity only and will begin at 5 p.m., while the Commerce game will see the junior varsity begin at 5 p.m. with the varsity to follow. The North Hopkins boys team will have their first game of the season as well, a road game at Poolville. That game will also begin at 5 p.m. with the varsity following the junior varsity.

SALTILLO

Saltillo only has one game next week, a home game against Martins Mill on Friday. The junior varsity boys team will begin at 5 p.m. with the varsity girls and varsity boys to follow. Both the varsity girls and boys teams enter the season ranked in the top-25 and are picked to win their district. The girls enter the season ranked No. 5 in the state, while the boys begin the season ranked No. 11.

SULPHUR BLUFF

Both the boys and girls teams will begin their seasons this week for Sulphur Bluff. The Lady Bears host Maud on Friday, with the junior varsity beginning at 5 p.m. with the varsity to follow. For the boys team, they will travel to No. 16 ranked Dodd City. The junior varsity will also begin at 5 p.m. with the varsity to follow in that one.

SULPHUR SPRINGS

The Sulphur Springs Lady Cats officially open their season on Tuesday with a home game against Mount Vernon. The match will be varsity only and is set to begin at 5 p.m. The Lady Cats will have the rest of the week off to prepare for their Monday, Nov. 16 home match against Paris.
