The University Interscholastic League released a statement Friday, March 13 announcing that they will be suspending all UIL events from March 16 through March 29.
In the initial press release, the UIL stated that, although no athletic contests will be allowed from March 16 through March 29, practices may be held with approval from the school district. The playoff schedules for baseball and softball haven’t changed as of press time Monday, and other sports already have seen revisions made to their schedule.
As of Monday, the Bi-District round of the playoffs for soccer would begin on April 14, with the Area round being on April 18. The Regional Quarter Finals are set for April 21, with the Regional Tournament being April 24-25 and the State Tournament being held from April 29-May 2.
No changes have been made for the Regional Finals or State Championships for golf, track or tennis.
