LINDALE — The Wildcats took third and the Lady Cats fourth in cross country action Thursday at Garden Valley sponsored by Lindale ISD. Places, names and times for boys were:

• 7. Christian Palomino, 18:25;

• 27. Jose Mejia, 19:41;

• 28. Camden Fuller, 19:44;

• 36. Evan Patrick, 20:22;

• 43. Chase Berry, 20:41;

• 51. Alex Flecker, 20:57; and

• 57. Ricardo Torres, 21:18. Places, names and times for girls were:

• 12. Sydney Washburn, 23:23;

• 15. Laney Hurst, 23:57;

• 25. Mattie Bridges, 25:10;

• 32. Kenia Herrera, 25:53;

• 33. Makayla Jimmerson, 26:02;

• 38. Maurie Flecker, 26:22; and

• 52. Ashley Noe, 27:49. “The girls were fourth out of 13 teams in the 5A-6A division. The boys were fifth out of 14 teams. October is championship season; I believe our teams will step up” said coach Ross Hicks. Sulphur Springs will compete Wednesday, Oct. 9 at the District Meet set in Mount Pleasant.
