Como-Pickton downs

Paul Pewitt, 45-33

COMO — The Como-Pickton varsity girls defeated Paul Pewitt, 45-33 at home Monday.

K’Lah Skidmore and Kylie Osborne scored 12 each and Jazmine Tarpley added 10. Other scorers were: Lexi Busby with 9 and Kara Tifft scoring 2 points.

“Our girls came out and played extremely hard with a lot of heart. We have been stressing to the kids how important it is in changing the culture of Como-Pickton girls athletics, and tonight was just a stepping stone in the right direction that the kids are truly on board with where we want to be. I couldn’t be more proud of the girls. Our bench played just as much of a role as the players out on the court did tonight, and that says a lot about where our program is going. We have this week to prepare for Saltillo on Saturday,” said Brandi Crouch, Como-Pickton coach.
