CUMBY—The Cumby Lady Trojans hosted the Como-Pickton Lady Eagles for their first in a pair of district matches this season.

Cumby continued their hot streak, winning in straight sets by scores of 25-11, 25-13 and 25-19. Sophomore Heather McCraw had a great game, leading the team with nine blocks and 13 digs. McCraw also had seven kills in the 3-0 win.

Neely Hammond led the Lady Trojans in kills with 10, she also had eight digs and a pair of blocks. Setting things up for Cumby was Erin Morgan who finished with 23 assists, as well as a pair of aces and two digs.

Other notables were Ashlyn Hudson, who had seven kills and six digs, and Tatum White and Azlyn Hornsby, who had five and four kills, respectively. Senior Rylee Krotky had 10 digs.

This win extends the Lady Trojans winning streak to seven games, with the last four in straight sets. In that stint, they have beaten Boles, 3-0; Yantis, 3-0; Miller Grove, 3-2; Fruitvale, 3-0; PTTA, 3-0; and Fruitvale, 3-0.

Cumby has just two home games remaining on their schedule, one Tuesday, Oct. 13 and their senior night against North Hopkins Friday, Oct. 23.
