CUMBY- The Cumby Lady Trojans hosted Celeste Tuesday, looking to pick up their second win of the season. The Lady Trojans won their first game in an overtime thriller, 42-40.

Cumby got off to a fast start, getting out to a quick 13-2 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Lady Trojans picked up their offense another notch in the second quarter, extending their lead to 28-9 at the end of the first half.

Cumby kept their foot on the gas, leading 38-15 at the end of the third quarter, before going on to win by a score of 56-24.

Sophomore Neely Hammond led the way, finishing with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Hammond also had five steals and four assists.

Rylee Krotky had a great game as well, posting 13 points and a game-high seven steals. Behind her was Macie Morales who had a strong all-around game, putting up 12 points, seven rebounds and four steals.

Ashlyn Hudson had a good performance, finishing with nine points, six rebounds and three assists.

The Lady Trojans travel to Bland Saturday, before returning home Monday when they will host Campbell. Their home game against Campbell is varsity only and is set to begin at 11 a.m.
