SALTILLO — The Saltillo Lady Lions remain undefeated in district play after a huge 84-6 win Tuesday night against Union Hill.

In one of their more impressive games of the season, the Lady Lions opened the game with a 35-0 first quarter. Not letting off the gas, Saltillo tacked on another 25 points in the second quarter while still not allowing Union Hill to score a point.

In the second half, the Lady Lions slowed down a bit, allowing Union Hill to score its first and only 6 points of the game. Saltillo had its lowest-scoring quarter of the night, posting only 9 points in the frame.

The Lady Lions shutout Union Hill yet again in the fourth quarter, while posting another 15 points to give them the 84-6 win.

Saltillo got everybody involved, with nine Lady Lions scoring and four finishing in double digits. Allie Lane led the way with 15 points. Jocelyn Ochoa had 11, and Anna Reeder and Brittney Peeples each had 10. Other scorers for Saltillo were Chandler Bain, Maddie Smith, and Paisley Kastner with 9 points each; Kristina Wade, 7; and Makenna Gurley, 4.

This win makes the Lady Lions 25-7 on the season and 7-0 in district play.
