GREENVILLE—The Miller Grove Lady Hornets traveled to Greenville Friday, Sept. 25 for a match against Greenville Christian. The Lady Hornets entered the night on a three-game winning streak.

Miller Grove continued their hot streak, winning in straight sets, by scores of 25-13, 25-16 and 25-16. Lauren Bullard led the way, tallying up seven assists, five digs, two ace serves and two kills. Jaylah Roberson and Lainy Burnett both filled the stat book as well. Roberson finished with six digs, four aces and three kills, while Burnett had four aces, four kills and two digs.

Leading the way defensively was Harli Watson who had a game-high seven digs. Other contributors for the Lady Hornets were Kaley Dorantes, who had three digs, and Arean Wood, who had one kill.

Miller Grove’s winning streak came to an end at four games on Tuesday when they lost in four sets to Sunnyvale. They won the opening set, 25-15, before losing the next three sets by scores of 25-17, 25-21 and 25-21.
